There are some fabulous lakes including Lake Havasu, Lake Mohave and Lake Mead making it a great place for fishing.

The lakes offer some of the best sport fishing in the country and offer an open season on all species of fish year-round. Largemouth bass, rainbow trout, striped bass, channel catfish, and bluegill are all popular catches.

A valid Arizona fishing license is requried for Arizona residenta and non-resident anglers 14 years of age or older fishing any public accessible water in Arizona. Nevada and Arizona share jurisdiction over Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. To fish from shore, you need a state fishing license. If you fish from a boat, you are required to have a license from one state and a special use stamp from the other.

Mohave County contains parts of Grand Canyon National Park and Lake Mead National Recreation Area and all of the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. The Kaibab, Fort Mojave and Hualapai Indian Reservations also lie within the county. Mohave County is the fifth-largest county in the United States by land area.
